Legend of Bandung

Once upon a time in the area of Pasundan, on the outskirts of the Citarum River, there was an old man who was famous for having the magic power. His name was Empu Wasesa. He lived with his beautiful daughter named Sekar. (Also read : Legend of Tolire Lake Ternate)

Besides Sekar, Empu Wisesa had two students. Their names were Jaka and Wira. He found them when they were still babies in a village that was falling apart due to the volcanic eruption of Tangkuban Perahu which until then the lava still often endangered the surrounding area. The two babies were then taken home, treated and taught science by Empu Wisesa.

Despite having the same teacher, Jaka and Wira had different temperaments. Jaka was handsome, he liked to play and he was good at talking, even though he was smart, but because of his character that made things easy, he was far behind Wira who diligently looked for knowledge and the essence of life.

These different qualities did not make them both far apart, they were like two brothers who helped each other and shared secrets. But there was one thing they did not express to each other, about their feelings towards Sekar, their teacher’s daughter. read more

Pigeons are classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Aves, order Columbiformes, family Columbidae.

All pigeons have soft swellings (ceres) at the base of the nostrils, feed their young with “pigeon’s milk” regurgitated from the crops of the parents, and have specialized bills through which they can suck up water steadily, unlike other birds. They eat chiefly fruits and seeds. From ancient times, pigeons—especially homing pigeons, which are also used as racing birds—have been used for carrying messages. Although electronics has largely replaced them as messengers, they are still of experimental importance. It is thought that they may navigate by the sun. Monogamous and amorous, pigeons are known for their soft cooing calls. (Also read other article at : Importance Having Friends) read more
