Quba Mosque is the first mosque built in the Islamic era, and it is located in a small village called Quba on the outskirts of Madinah. The village is known as the residence of the descendants of Amr bin Auf and was named after a nearby well.

The mosque was initially a small square building, which was 40 meters wide with three doors. When it was expanded during the ruling of Omar Ibn Al Khattab, three doors were added. Muslim leaders continued the mosque’s expansions and architectural renovations, specifically Hijaz sultans. The late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud then had the mosque double in size to 13,500 square meters to accommodate 20,000 worshipers while preserving its old design and heritage. The northern part was allocated for women worshipers, and the mosque has more than 172 bathrooms and ablution areas divided between men and women. It also features a library and accommodation for imams, muezzins, and security guards, in addition to a market. (Also read other article at : Tujuan dan Manfaat Akuntansi) read more
