      Affandi’s Museum is located at Solo Street no. 167, Yogyakarta, precisely on the bank of Gajah Wong river.  Affandi designed and constructed a home which also functioned as a museum to display his artworks. The museum is uniquely constructed, seen from the roof that resembles banana leaf, which was inspired by the time he used banana leaf to cover him from the rain. This museum has around 300 collections of Affandi’s paintings. The museum consists of three galleries. The first gallery is used to display 50 paintings, and twice in a year, the displays will be regularly rotated. Entering the second gallery, visitors will be to a room functioned as a hall. The third gallery is used to display all collections of Affandi. Affandi’s paintings is fantastically valued, around 600 million up to 4.5 billion rupiahs, a worth number to value the artworks of the painting maestro.

      When visitors Visit this museum, they can find Affandi’s personal stuffs, such as, his car and his bicycle. On the lower ground of this museum, they can take a rest for a while and chitchat with friends in the café available to all guests.
